Rev. Milton Alexander Williams, Jr.

BACKGROUND


Over his 18 years in ministry, he served as pastor to the Shrewsbury Avenue AME Zion Church in Red Bank, NJ for three years (appointed by Bishop Marshall H. Strickland), pastored Walls Memorial AME Zion Church in Charlotte, NC for 13 years (appointed by Bishop George W.C. Walker), and since October 2017 has capably served as the visionary and innovative senior pastor of the Pennsylvania Avenue AME Zion Church under the Episcopal leadership of Bishop W. Darin Moore.

Pastor Williams is married the former Sunne Nicole Marrow. He and his beautiful and dedicated wife are blessed with four wonderful children - Sydney, Kennedy, Mckenzie, and Emerie.

To God be the glory for the things that He has done in the life and ministry of Rev. Milton Alexander Williams, Jr.! We ask prayers for this man of God, his family, and for the ministry assignment that he has been called to for such a time as this!

Bio


Rev. Milton Alexander Williams, Jr., a son of Zion, was born in Buffalo, NY to the Right Reverend Milton A. Williams, Sr. and Reverend Lula G. Williams. He received his primary and secondary education in the public school systems of Buffalo, NY, Mobile, AL and Greensboro, NC.

Rev. Williams attended Loyola University, Baltimore, Maryland on a full basketball scholarship where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. In June of 1998, Rev. Williams accepted the call to ministry and furthered his education at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, North Carolina - graduating in May of 2001 with a Master of Divinity. 

He is a passionate leader, grounded Bible teacher, social activist, and powerful preacher of the Gospel who recognizes that relationships – to each other, and to Christ – is what draws people to church and leads people to salvation.
